We both tried getting on mobile hotspots (his being an Android hotspot and mine an iPhone), I disconnected my phone and my Switch from protected wifi during the hotspot, I rebooted my Switch/TV, I looked up videos of how to change NAT type (we both have NAT type B's), I visited Nintendo's support about connecting the Switch to the internet, and our Switch's do know each other on Nintendo Online - we share a family plan. When he Host&Play's and I Join, an error of "Unable to connect to the device" pops up. We both have our own Nintendo Switches and connecting in multiplayer to one another's worlds doesn't work.
My boyfriend and I are trying to play Terraria and what a frustrating mess it is. In dire need of someone who knows about internet/multiplayer.
